Finding Harmony with the Environment
At Kittitian Hill, we’re privileged to share the lush, fertile farmland and turquoise seas with our guests and the local island community. With this privilege comes a responsibility to protect the land and wildlife, to nurture the earth and conserve the natural resources around us.
We are dedicated to balancing the needs of the local community and the environment with a long-term approach to sustainability that goes beyond the basic tenants of a ‘green hotel’. Every component of Kittitian Hill is developed to create a minimal impact on our surroundings, from transport to recycling and all points between. Our goal is always focused on long-term sustainability, in both building Kittitian Hill and running it on a day-to-day basis.
This commitment is also at the forefront of our approach to food – we’re committed to sourcing as much as possible from our tropical farm and expert foraging from the land, forest and sea. We also work closely with suppliers who share our approach to sustainable fishing, farming and animal husbandry to source whatever we can’t produce ourselves. As time goes on we will become more and more self-sufficient, sharing this prosperity with our guests as well as the surrounding community.
